The Last Supper and the New Covenant Passover
In conclusion, “Last Supper” is New Covenant Passover testified through the Bible.
Church of God is keeping New covenant Passover, the Last Supper is testified through the Bible.
When we keep the new Covenant Passover, which is the Last Supper, we can take the blessing of eternal life from God.
Only Church of God keeps the Last Supper and New Covenant Passover.
Among the paintings concerned with Christianity, there is a painting “Last Supper” painted by Leonardo DA Vinci.
It explained that Jesus had a last supper with his disciples the last night before he was crucified.
Through the title, Last Supper, most of people only know that Jesus had a last supper with his disciples the last night before he was dead but they don’t know the real meaning of the last supper.
Then, what does the Bible say about the Last Supper?
The Bible says it is New Covenant Passover.
Luke 22 : 15, 19~20 And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.…and he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body given for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after the supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
Then, why did Jesus say that eating the bread represents his body and drinking wine represents his blood?
That is because he wants to give us the bliss of eternal life.
John 6 : 53~54 Jesus said to them, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
The only way to take eternal life is eating the Jesus’s body and drinking Jesus’s blood.
So we can take eternal life when we keep the Last Supper as the New Covenant Passover.
We have to keep the Last Supper, New Covenant Passover, and then we can surely take the blessing of eternal life.
